Lone Star - Video Recording System
- Two cameras will be installed during this process:
- First camera will be installed on the Main Line for monitoring of ML weld numbers & joint numbers that are painted on the pipe, as it falls into the firing line.
- Second camera will be installed by the pipe ready racks, while the pipes are being loaded onto the construction barge waiting to be prepped
- Recorded video will be stored on a 2 Gig hard drive and will be kept and safely archived via web and on the pipe lay vessel (Optional)
- Pictures of the Installation Aids will be taken during the installation process and stored via web and on a hard drive

Lone Star Pipe Tracking System
The system offers effective material traceability and quality assurance for the entire process of pipeline fabrication from the chemical analysis of the casts of the steel through to the as-built and as-laid records of the completed pipeline.
Quality assurance functions are an integral part of the system by recording all welds, repairs and re-weld details as well as visual, radiography, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye-penetrant examinations.
Full status information is maintained on material detailing the stages and its current location within the fabrication process. This also enables the system to record and display the pipeline length and volume at any give time also ensuring that a full material reconciliation can be performed as soon as the project is completed.

The Lone Star Tracking System is set up in three locations on the DJ pipe lay barge. The pipe tracking system is a networked base system that tracks the pipe as soon as it loaded onto the pipe lay barge. Listed below are the LSPTS set up locations:
